Admission Requirements

United States residents who have not previously attended college (entering as freshman), as well as all other students applying to Louisburg College are required to submit:
 
  • Completed Online Application
  • Application fee of $25.00
  • Official High School Transcripts
  • SAT and/or ACT Scores
 
Admissions requirements for a clear acceptance into Louisburg College are:
 
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.00 or higher on a 4.00 scale (C average or better)
  • Composite SAT Score of 880 or higher (critical reading and math only)
  • 17 or higher on the ACT (in place of SAT)
 
Students who do not fully meet admissions requirements, but show potential for success at Louisburg, may be offered conditional admission. Conditionally admitted students may be required to register for specific courses and/ or successfully complete course work during the summer prior to their enrollment at Louisburg.
 
 
High School Courses
We strongly recommend that students preparing for admission to Louisburg complete the following high school courses:
 
Course

English
Four course units emphasizing grammar, composition, and literature;
Mathematics
Three course units including Algebra I, Algebra II, and Geometry, or a higher level mathematics course for which Algebra II is a prerequisite;
Science
Three course units including:
  • at least one unit in a life or biological science (for example: Biology)
  • at least one unit in a physical science (for example: Physical Science, Chemistry, Physics)
  • at least one laboratory course;
Social Studies 
Two course units including one unit in U.S. History; and
Foreign Language     
Two courses in one language (recommended, but not required).
