Giving Societies

As a way to say thank you, we make it a point to recognize our donors for their generosity. All donors, regardless of gift amount, are recognized in our annual magazine, Columns, and receive a signed thank you letter from the Vice President of Institutional Advancement.

The Louisburg Society
We have the privilege of recognizing our most prolific donors by granting them membership into The Louisburg Society. The Louisburg Society is made up of donors who give $1,000 or more in a fiscal year. They are the driving force behind everything we do, and we are continually indebted to them for their generosity.

The information below indicates the different giving levels within the Louisburg Society and the benefits that come with membership. All members of the Louisburg Society receive exclusive invitations to events with the president and administration, recognition in the Honor Roll of Donors, exclusive bi-monthly Louisburg Society newsletters and e-newsletters, exclusive Louisburg Society memorabilia and a charitable tax deduction.

If you have any questions about the Louisburg Society, please contact Jamie Patrick at jpatrick@louisburg.edu or (919) 497-3245.

The Old Main Society
Louisburg College has been the benefactor of many estate gifts which have abundant and lasting impacts on the College. It has inherited cash gifts, property, land and estates of alumni and friends, and we are continuously grateful for their generosity and forethought.

As a small token of our immense thanks, we include those with planned gifts to Louisburg College in our annual Columns magazine.

If you would like to inquire about leaving Louisburg College in your estate planning, please contact Chad Barefoot, Vice President of Institutional Advancement, at cbarefoot@louisburg.edu or (919) 497-3325.

The Society of 1787
The Society of 1787 is our most prestigious giving society. The members of this society are those who have given $50,000 or more in their lifetime and have made a significant impact on the life of the College. The impact of these donors will echo through generations of students and is the very foundation of the College’s success.

These donors have opportunities for naming the College’s facilities and programs. They are also always prominently displayed in our donor roll.
