Alumni Awards
Each year the Louisburg College Alumni Association presents special awards to alumni
and community leaders in recognition of their professional accomplishments and/or
service and dedication to the College.
If you know a deserving alumnus or community leader who meets the criteria for a particular
award, you can make a nomination by submitting a form online (see below).

Distinguished Alumnus Award
The Distinguished Alumnus Award was established in 1978, and is given to an alumnus
who is an outstanding ambassador of Louisburg College, personifies the highest values
on which the College was founded, and is renowned in his or her community, family
and church.

The Outstanding Young Alumnus Award was established in 1993, and recognizes an alumnus

Dr. Cecil W. Robbins Public Service Award
The Dr. Cecil W. Robbins Public Service Award was established 1997 in honor of former
Louisburg College President Dr. Cecil W. Robbins, and honors an alum or member of
the community who has shown exceptional dedication to Louisburg College by contributing
outstanding and meaningful service to the College. Selection is based on contributions
of time, effort and/or commitment and enrichment of the mission and standing of Louisburg
College.

Henry Douglass “Doug” Lindsay III ’66 Young Alumnus Service Award
The Henry Douglass “Doug” Lindsay III ’66 Young Alumnus Service Award was established
in 2011, and is a special presidential service award that honors an alumnus who has
graduated within the past twenty years and has demonstrated extraordinary service
to Louisburg College through the commitment of time and effort on its behalf.
