Graduate Breakfast and Baccalaureate Service

Friday, May 17, the Class of 2024 was honored with a breakfast in Duke Dining Hall. Students heard kind words from Dean Maleeka Love, Alitha Palich, Rev. Amanda Bunce, Registrar Tanya Barnes-Jones, and student speaker Ayinde Taylor II. 

After breakfast, Graduates were directed to United Methodist Church in Louisburg for the Baccalaureate Service. Friends, family, faculty, and staff celebrated the achievements of the Class of '24 as students received honors cords and stoles and heard encouraging words from Rev. Michael Alston. Pastor Alston preached a message of persistence and learning from setbacks.

2024 Commencement

On Saturday, May 18, Louisburg College held the 2024 Commencement Ceremony in the Jones Performing Arts Center (JPAC).

Family, friends, faculty, and staff came to watch the 106 graduating sophomores turn their tassels.

Louisburg College's Class of 2024 included 86 Associate of Arts in General College, 12 Associate of Science in Business, and 7 Associate of Science in General Science graduates. This year, LC also celebrated its first Graduate for Associate of Sports Science. The degree was added early this year as part of five (5) new degree programs.

This year’s Commencement featured speeches from Student Speaker Raul Nunez III and Louisburg Alum Judge James Floyd Ammons Jr.
