Louisburg College Students Attend NCICU Ethics Bowl
Louisburg College participated in the NCICU Ethics Bowl for the first time in almost
10 years on February 7-8. A team of four LC students and two staff advisors attended
the competition centered around a theme of "Ethics in Health and Wellness."
Student participants included Vellon Rivers, Adamaris Anorve-Basoria, Jakaya Scott, and Jesiel Sepulveda. They were accompanied to the North Carolina Legislative Building by Trevor Rudd and Rev. Laura Wittman.
The team debated in four rounds on topics ranging from "Anxiety and Depression in Young Adults" to "Germline Editing." The team held close margins with their competitors in all four rounds. The students agree that they enjoyed being able to have the experience and wish to participate in events like the Ethics Bowl again.
