Whitehead Leadership Program
The Lettie Pate Whitehead Foundation was established in 1946 by Conkey Pete Whitehead as a memorial to his mother, Lettie, with the purpose of educating women. The foundation's scholarship program awards its annual grant to more than 200 accredited educational institutions across the Southeast, including 37 institutions in North Carolina.
Every year, the Lettie Pate Whitehead Foundation awards scholarship funding to support deserving female students with financial need at Louisburg College. Hundreds of students have benefited from the foundation's donations throughout the years.
