Safety First: Louisburg College Responds to COVID-19

Louisburg College is committed to putting the safety of our students, faculty, staff, and community members first. As we continue to follow the CDC recommendations, we will remain fluid to ensure we are doing our best to help protect our college community as the academic year progresses.

 

COVID-19 Positive Case Alerts Protocol:

Louisburg College relies on the Jeanne Cleary Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, commonly known as the Clery Act, to guide communications regarding confirmed COVID-19 cases.

Per the Clery Act, Louisburg College will provide a campus notification when a public health agency has confirmed, via a COVID-19 test, that a member of our college community has the virus and the individual was recently on campus. The LC Alerts system will provide this campus notification.

Louisburg College will cooperate with public health officials conducting contact tracing for student or employee cases fitting this criterion. Under HIPAA and FERPA regulations, Louisburg College is unable to provide details about individual cases.

If Louisburg College’s Human Resources or Student Life departments reach out to you for contact tracing, please answer all questions to help control the virus’s spread and protect the college community. Under HIPAA regulations, Louisburg College is unable to provide additional details.
