Phi Beta Lambda
Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) is the largest and oldest student organization in the world. Its mission is to bring business and education together through a positive working relationship that promotes innovative leadership and career development. It has designed multiple activities to help students develop leadership, communication, and team-building skills. The organization provides students many opportunities for networking with other PBL members and business professionals.
PBL typically meets bi-monthly, but shifts to weekly as students prepare for the annual state competition.
Each year, students compete in the annual North Carolina Phi Beta Lambda State Leadership Conference. Winners qualify to attend the national conference. In past years, students have competed in individual and team events such as social media, macroeconomics, microeconomics, job interview, emerging business issues, strategic analysis & decision-making, and marketing.
