Louisburg College Football Makes First National Title Bid

Football Nationals BoundThe Louisburg College Hurricanes football program is on a historic roll this season. Not only have they held their number 2 ranking for five consecutive weeks, but Louisburg College football has secured themselves a spot in the NJCAA DIII Football National Championship!

The Red Grange Bowl, which will be held on December 7 at Bjarne Ullsvik Stadium in Glen Ellyn, IL, will be the first time in program history that the LC Football team will be going to a National Championship game.

Louisburg College Football has defeated the Georgia Warhawks, Hocking College, Sussex County Community College, and more on their journey to this incredible accomplishment.

Louisburg College Football Head Coach Quinderra Spellman announced the official invitation to the team on Monday, November 25, 2024 - just minutes after the NJCAA released the rankings. Louisburg College will play against the College of DuPage.

"It's exciting not just for the team but for campus and the community as well," Spellman said after breaking the news to his team on Monday, Nov. 25. "To go from a small town to the National stage is exciting."

Tickets are available to view the game in-person and the Bowl will also be streamed on ESPN+.
