Admission Requirements

United States residents who have not previously attended college are required to submit:

  • A completed online application
  • Official high school transcripts

 Admissions requirements for a clear acceptance into Louisburg College are

  • Cumulative GPA of 2.00 or higher on a 4.00 scale (C average or better)

Louisburg College may admit students who have do not have a 2.0 GPA, please contact an admissions counsleor concerning the process.

High School Courses

We strongly recommend that students preparing for admission to Louisburg College complete the following high school courses:

Course

Instructional Emphasis

English

Four course units emphasizing grammar, composition, and literature

Mathematics

 Three units including Algebra I, Algebra II, and Geometry or a higher-level mathematics course for which Algebra II is a prerequisite

Science

Three units including:

  • at least one unit in a life or biological science (for example Biology or Zoology)
  • at least one unit in physical science (for example Chemistry or Physics)
  • at least one laboratory course

Social Studies

Two course units including one unit in U.S. History
